Understanding your spiritual gifts is not as simple as taking a test. However, it can be a good starting point. We offer different opportunities to discover your spiritual gifts such as our membership class. But, taking the test below should give you a general idea about your spiritual gifts. We encourage you to read Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12-14, Ephesians 4, and 1 Peter 4 to see what God's Word says about spiritual gifts and how to use them. The key points to remember are: 1. God gives you spiritual gifts for the benefit of the church. You are to use them to build up the body. 2. Using the gifts in love is crucial. Love is the greatest spiritual gift (1 Cor. 12:31-13:13). 3. You can know where you are most gifted as you step out in faith, serve, and see where the church responds. Try a number of different ministries and see where the body is being blessed through your giftedness. Once you've begun to discover your gifts and areas of interest, fill out the ministry involvement form on the "Getting Involved" page, or contact Brett Inman to discuss where you can serve. It is helpful to pray about your spiritual gifts, your passions (e.g. evangelism, or teaching, or the homeless, or sports), your abilities, your personality, and your past experiences when thinking about an area in which to serve.
