1. We Praise God for the many open doors before us to continue our ministry of motivating, training and mobilizing the Body of Christ for the work of evangelism in Mexico and throughout Latin America. • Pray for our 15 Partner Churches in Mexico City as our VELA Team assists them to become true lighthouses in their communities.

2. We are thankful to God for the 22 children and the 3 adults who made decisions for Christ during a recent children’s evangelistic campaign that was held through one of the Partner Churches. • Pray for the 20 "Days of Hope" local church evangelistic campaigns that will take place this year to reach new people with the message of salvation.

3. Pray for the VELA Training Center as we make an attempt this year to initiate the expansion of the facilities to train a larger number of people.

4. Pray for our "Vision 20 / 20" National Plan of Evangelism.

5.  Pray for the internet evangelism project which we are implementing in Mexico City together with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

6. Pray for the Follow-Up of more than 5,000 new people that made decisions for Christ in La Paz, Bolivia. Franklin Graham and I had an opportunity to preach the Gospel to 90,000 people in three days. • Pray for the VELA Team as they face the day to day challenges of living and working in Mexico City.
 
7. Pray for me as a I am constantly on the road and for Joanne as she continues to recover from her two knee replacement

Announcement of Kenya Summer 2013 ministry trip: June 15-30, 2013

We would like to invite you to join us on our short-term team ministry trip to Kenya scheduled for June 15-30, 2013. We have some very exciting ministries lined up for this team and I guarantee that if you sign up to join us, you will have the opportunity to be a part of some of the most memorable & joy-filled experiences that you have ever had in your life! The Kenya Summer 2013 team will be focusing on 2 primary ministries.

1.  Continued construction projects on the First Love Kenya Children’s Home property in Nairobi and also at 2 partnering schools and orphanages. Willing volunteers are needed for carpentry, roofing, painting, sanding & varnishing, cabinet making, & landscaping.

2.  Kids Clubs at Raila Educational Center located in the Kibera Slum. Child evangelism is at the heart of these VBS type outreach ministries. The program includes Bible stories, songs, crafts, & games.

The cost for this 2 week ministry trip is approximately $3,650 per person. This price includes airfare, lodging, food, cost of visa, and a donation towards the cost of materials used in construction & Kids Clubs.

There is also an optional 2 day safari which you could avail yourself of for an additional cost of approximately $950 per person. This optional safari will take place during the middle of the ministry trip, June 22-24.

You may raise funds for this trip and all donors will receive a tax-deductible receipt for their gift from First Love.

If you would like to join us on this ministry team we need to receive a non-refundable deposit of $250 from you by March 15.  The first half of your total cost will be due by April 1st and the balance by May 1st.

Reach Out Ministry meets every other Monday (beginning January 14, 2013), 1-4:00pm -- FLC Room 101. If you know how to sew, knit, or crochet and have time to spend with a special group of young ladies this is a wonderful opportunity for you. The 3 main goals for Reach Out is to provide young girls with godly Titus 2 women as mentors; to teach girls and young women the almost forgotten home arts; and lastly, to provide those who are more needy than us with homemade necessities. Announcement of Kenya Summer 2013 ministry trip: June 15-30, 2013

We would like to invite you to join us on our short-term team ministry trip to Kenya scheduled for June 15-30, 2013. We have some very exciting ministries lined up for this team and I guarantee that if you sign up to join us, you will have the opportunity to be a part of some of the most memorable & joy-filled experiences that you have ever had in your life! The Kenya Summer 2013 team will be focusing on 2 primary ministries.

1.  Continued construction projects on the First Love Kenya Children’s Home property in Nairobi and also at 2 partnering schools and orphanages. Willing volunteers are needed for carpentry, roofing, painting, sanding & varnishing, cabinet making, & landscaping.

2.  Kids Clubs at Raila Educational Center located in the Kibera Slum. Child evangelism is at the heart of these VBS type outreach ministries. The program includes Bible stories, songs, crafts, & games.

The cost for this 2 week ministry trip is approximately $3,650 per person. This price includes airfare, lodging, food, cost of visa, and a donation towards the cost of materials used in construction & Kids Clubs.

There is also an optional 2 day safari which you could avail yourself of for an additional cost of approximately $950 per person. This optional safari will take place during the middle of the ministry trip, June 22-24.

You may raise funds for this trip and all donors will receive a tax-deductible receipt for their gift from First Love.

If you would like to join us on this ministry team we need to receive a non-refundable deposit of $250 from you by March 15.  The first half of your total cost will be due by April 1st and the balance by May 1st.
